Jie is a student at Harvard Law School. She is originally from Chengdu, China, and studied biology before going to law school. She decided to work at ZPIL as a summer intern because she wanted to learn Chinese laws and understand the Chinsese legal system. Her research focuses on child welfare and protection in the United States and Australia, aiming at providing constructive suggestions to China’s child welfare legislation.
“I have learned a great deal about various aspects of Chinese laws and got familiar with legal practice in China by observing the daily work of ZPIL lawyers. I am also impressed by the great positive impact ZPIL is making on China’s social change.”
