Alexz is a William and Mary Law School student originally from Flint, Michigan. She attended the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor where she received a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Asian Languages and Cultures (specifically studying Chinese and Japanese). Alexz came to ZPIL because she has an interest in labor and employment law, work that revolves around the youth, public interest law, and the Chinese language—and was happy to know that she could find it all in one place. She is currently researching juvenile justice systems with a focus on pre-trial detention.
“My time at Zhicheng has been the perfect mix of the things that I wanted to explore, research and study during my law school career. I’m able to do comparative research and writing in an area of children’s rights and also stay abreast of labor developments as well. I’m also able to practice my Chinese in both formal and informal settings.”
